ALTUS FARMER’S MARKET – 2018
     This year’s Farmer’s Market runs on Tuesdays and Fridays from 3:00-7:00 PM and is set up on the Southwest side of the Altus Plaza Shopping Center (immediately north of the old JC Penney’s store). The Altus Farmer’s Market sells locally grown and Oklahoma garden products, etc.

FREE BIBLE STUDY OFFERED
It’s time to get back to basics with a free Bible study on the basic teachings of God’s Word. The Bible study offers simple and easy outlines with graphs that will help you as you study the scriptures.

OPERATION CARE THERE TO HELP
Operation CARE is a community outreach program that works to serve the local community by nourishing the body and spirit of helping them see their potential, value and worth; to offer a hand and to help them pull themselves up in time of hardship.

CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS

The Altus City Council meets at 6 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of each month for their regular meetings. Meetings are held at the Altus Municipal Complex at 509 S. Main.

FREE MEALS IN ALTUS

Free meals are offered at the Salvation Army , 1100 N. Park Lane, every Tuesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Local churches also offer free meals on Saturdays. the 1st Saturday meal is provided from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 200 N. Main; the second Saturday meal is provided from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 317 N. Main; the 3rd Saturday meal is provided from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Primera Iglesia Bautista, 401 E. Liveoak; the 4th Saturday meal is provided from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Church of Christ Carpenter’s Kitchen, Elm and Hudson; and the 5th Saturday meal is provided from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Glad Tidings Assembly of God, 1505 E. Tamarack Road.

NARCOTICS ANONYMOUS

ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS

WEIGHT ACCOUNTABILITY

The Weight Accountability Group meets at 5:30 p.m. Thursdays at the Highland Heights United Methodist Church. All are welcome to attend. For more information call 580-301-9620.

DRUG PROGRAM

A faith-based 12-step program and a recognized recovery program for all drug court participants meets on Sundays at 5 p.m. at the Martha Road Baptist Church, 4 miles north of Walmart. For more information, call 580-482-3377 or visit their website at martharoadbaptist.org.

BOY SCOUT MEETINGS

PANCAKE BREAKFAST

The Altus Masonic Lodge #62 holds a Pancake Breakfast fundraiser every 3rd Saturday of the month from 7-11 a.m. Menu items include pancakes, biscuits & gravy, bacon, sausage, eggs, milk, coffee and juice for just $5.

BALLROOM DANCING

Altus Ballroom Dancers meets from 7-9 p.m. each Monday in the east end of the Altus Community Center. Lessons are offered the first hour followed by open dancing the second hour. For more information, call 580-477-1822 or 580-726-5160.
